Sometimes you and your children may find articles or photos that are quite useful for school or work projects. You might decide it would be useful to "copy" those documents.

Under the law, it is illegal to save and store a file which belongs to someone else. This law is referred to as Intellectual Property law. Downloading and using a text file, photo, drawing, or programming source code without acknowledgement of the rightful owner runs foul of the law.
